Bangladesh Association of New York
The Bangladesh Association of New York is a non-profit organization established in 1996. By nature it is a philanthropic organization.
The purpose of The Bangladesh Association of New York is primarily to provide assistance, guidance and counsel to new immigrants and less advantaged people.
The Bangladesh Association of New York also
firmly believes in developing a strong effective Bangladeshi- American community to contribute to different aspects of the American Socio-economic arena as well as in Bangladesh.
The
Bangladesh Association of New York
implements its polices and programs
through it executive committee.
In modern times, there are many NGO's and
other philanthropic organizations that
exist to help people. These
organizations collect money and have
paid employees in order to help people.
However, people have been helping people
since time began. Bangladesh Association
of New York has been following that
ancient tradition since its inception.
That is why it doesn't have any
membership fee, collect donations,
a bank account, nor a tax exempt ID.
However, it is still a Non-Profit
Organization.
How are we able to help others?
Simply by utilizing people's expertise,
knowledge, time and resources. These are
generously given out of kindness without
monetary payment expected, for the
satisfaction of having helped a less
advantaged fellow human being. In doing
so, the moral satisfaction we get at
BANY, money, name, fame, or publicity
can not buy.
For the last six years, we have been
able to make a difference in over one
thousand lives and we are still going
strong. Our philosophy is, "Give to
each, a little of yours and feel a deep
sense of gratification and pride."
The Bangladesh Association of New York (BANY) is axiomatically a philanthropic organization serving the needs
of the people who are less advantageous. In addition it exists to blend the ethnicity with that of the American culture. It is not a political organization nor does it purport to be a religious group. It
embraces people of all walks of life, with any religious origin and ethnic background. |
